– in the hearts and lives of San Antonio Homeowners and Volunteers who have served!

Over a two week period, Blueprint Ministries hosted over 170 youth, college-age and adult volunteers to repair the homes of 11 elderly, disabled and low-income families living in sub-standard housing. Volunteers came from San Antonio’s Youth for Christ City Life and Alamo Heights groups, Oak Hills Church West, Upgrade Student Movement, Coker United Methodist Church, 2nd Baptist – Arkadelphia, ARK and Asbury United Methodist Church – Tulsa, OK. During these weeks, homeowners received some much needed work done on their homes. Work done included a new roof, handicap accessible bathrooms with walk in showers, painting and repair work to the exterior, new floors, a new porch, new walls and much more. These volunteers served widows, disabled and single-parent homeowners as they grew in their understanding of serving and building relationships with others.

April Happenings

Thank you to the BCM at Nicholls College in Louisiana for coming to Blueprint April 13-17! The team of 26 consisted mainly of college students plus some adults with construction experience.

The group set up all 160 bunkbeds to get us ready for camp; they tore down a rotting awning and built a new one from scratch; and they replaced the roof on our storage room!

What a blessing to Blueprint and to San Antonio!
