A Message from Ron

(from June Newsletter)

Howdy friends!

We wanted to give you a brief update on what has been going on at Blueprint this summer.

As you can imagine, this summer has looked way different from what we all anticipated.  While our summer hasn’t gone exactly as planned, our mission has still continued and we have been back to work on homes since early May with our small staff team.  Thus far, we’ve completed 4 new roofs on homes and hope to complete our 5th roof by the end of this week.

We also have been doing welfare checks by calling and checking in our homeowners.  We’ve been partnering with Be A Champion, Inc to provide meals to our homeowners who have children in the home with them.

Next week we will be doing a test run of home repairs utilizing local volunteers from one of our long-term local church partners.  Hope Church will be bringing out volunteers to work on 2 homes next week.  Our group sizes will be smaller than normal, and all participants will be wearing masks and gloves and practicing social distancing while working on outdoor projects.

We hope that this test run will give us the necessary feedback we will need to fully re-open to other day groups this summer.

Thanks again for your time and we look forward to continuing to share more updates of the work that Blueprint Ministries is doing to make homes healthier, safer and drier.

We hope to see you soon!
